Old Ordinary opens for summer
·
The Old Ordinary opens for the summer. If
the last time you visited the Old Ordinary was in 5th
grade, it’s time to come back. This distinguished old
tavern on the Boston-Plymouth stage line was home to
among other things, a privateer captain, a wigmaker, a
chairmaker, and an architect. It’s filled with rare and
unique treasures that recapture Hingham’s history as a
fishing village, a shipping port, an early industrial
center, and a farming community. Tours run from 1-4 pm
Tuesday through Saturday.
